Spiral steel pipe is mainly spiral submerged arc welded pipe (SSAW), which is frequently used in the construction of various oil and gas pipelines. The main production process is submerged arc welding. The spiral welded pipe can produce welded pipes with different pipe diameters with the same width of blanks, and it can also produce welded pipes with larger diameters with narrow blanks. Different from the straight seam pipe (ERW steel pipes), the spiral steel pipes can have big diameter max. to 3500mm and can reach length by 30meters or more.
